Florida, The bLaCk will be back

After a long wait, it is settled. PSU will be playing LSU in the 2010 Capital One Bowl on New Years day in Orlando, Florida. I can't go on and make predictions about the game because I have no idea what kind of talent LSU has, so i'll leave that to the experts. All I can say is that they are an SEC team which means they are very very fast. I wish they guys good luck and especially to the seniors in their last college game. As for me it will be the last game I get to film DC in a blue & white uniform, well unless he gets drafted by the Colts but y'all know what I mean. So this game takes place on New Years day, and for a party guy like myself I don't think i'll be out on New Years Eve sadly. A few weeks back I made my rule that I can't hang out anywhere unless 1 of the 11 homies are with me. I don't think any of them will be down in Florida so I'll stay home and watch the ball drop with the family. I'm real glad to be having the game in Orlando because I have a place to stay and i'm familiar with the area because i've been to the Capital One game many years ago as an N.C. State recruit.
I'll be flying down on the 28th and returning to the city on Jan 4th. so that little bit of heat for a while will be good for keeping the even skin tone and letting me wear my shorts n t-shirts outside. I still have a little bit of kid in me so i'll definitely be hitting up Disney for a day or 2 while down there and also be kickin it at City Walk. Until then this 22 degree weather will just continue to make my skin ashy and dry lol. Anyway it is Friday and i'll go off and be productive with my Liiiiiife. I'll catch the readers back on Monday soo ummmm K BYEEEEEE

Hall Of Fame Event=Free drinks/food in the BIG APPLE

Last night, Monday December 8th was the celebration of former PSU Runningback Curt Warner being inducted into the College Football Hall Of Fame. Now beyond all the praise and glory this man got I was mostly impressed with the food and drink selection. Before I go on I have to say it really is an honor to be a part of such a traditional program that consistently produces first class players every year. Okay so last night was like the prime time of networking and meeting up with former teammates etc. 1st off I was not expecting Coach Joe to be in attendance, but he was there gave a small speech and was funny as usual. When I walked in I picked up my name tag off the desk out front and placed it on my shirt. I had no idea it was a "rule" to have the name tag on the left side of your body because it's more visible when shaking hands. Me being the ass that I am, I wouldn't say my name when being social but just pointed to the name tag. I mean what else are they for lol. Not knowing many people there I headed straight to the back bar. Ordered two drinks off the bat because I had showed up late and had to mix in with the crowd asap. The food there was phenomenal with sliced tuna and honey gazed ham so I was in heaven. It's not usual you are able to attend such a cool event for free in NYC, so I had to take full advantage.
I was amazed at how many former players lived in the city. After talking to a handful of people we all decided we need to keep this family connected so some were considering making a facebook group. We'd be able to set more events and get togethers since we all have something in common and live so close to each other. I love these types of events because I'm always the young one there and people are always interested in the new comers to the real world and thankfully for me I love to be social and talk about all the cool things I've been doing. I really hope to keep these connections going so we all can go out and just get drunk and have fun lol. In time I'll grow up and say lets all go to an apple picking event or something, but for now I'll keep on playing hard while I can.
Tomorrow I'll be talking about the bowl game coming up for New Years day in Orlando, so stay tuned =)...K BYEEEEEEEEEE

Another weekend of Liiiiiiife

Well the time is here for these guys. The Secaucus Patriots Football team has made it to the big game. Playing in Giant Stadium tonight will be a great experience for all these young dudes and I'm happy for them all. I wish I could just tell them all to cherish this evening and play your asses off. As for me I will be at Giants Stadium twice this weekend. Once tonight for the Secaucus game and again on Sunday for the Giants game vs the Cowboys. Again as I mentioned before, I'm not a die hard fan of any team but I will root for the home team of course. What makes things interesting this time is that I will be joined with a die hard Cowboys fan. These types of games are great because you can rub it in if their team does bad and if my team f*%#s up, I clearly won't care because I"M NOT A TRUE FAN lol. These weekends are just continually going to get better as the months go on, with more events and functions so i'll be keeping myself pretty occupied. Well at least until I start school again in March. As for Sunday evening we all know i'll be snuggled up with my cat for Animation Domination & will know where I will be going for New Years this year when the Bowl Selection airs. I feel like the reason i can't sleep besides the brain disorder "acute insomnia" is because I just have so much to do and so much to look forward to. There's a bright future ahead and I've got my wings open and ready to fly baby FLY! hahaha. I hope everyone has a great weekend AND i intend on posting a video soon from my new Mac Book because it's by far the best electronic device I have ever owned. K BYEEEEEEEE

Everybody clap yo' hands...ch ch ch ch ch ch

Hands down Tuesday December Foist 2009 was one of my favorite days of liiiiiife. It started off with me heading over to the Apple Store on 59th and as it is always crowded the work crew had seemed to be ready for my arrival. I walked in head high after doing all my research and knowing exactly what I wanted. My first words were “I want a 15” Mac Book Pro and I want it now” Without hesitation we walked over to the laptop stand and began the purchasing process. Now with all the time and budgeting that was put into it, I had made a mistake. The program I wanted to add was what I thought to be $300. What I didn’t realize is that I searched for the upgrade of the original program which costs $1,000. A little bit of a set back but I’m in no rush for that as of right now. The Mac Book is primarily for editing the documentary which I will be continuing to film up until April 2010. So there you go, I was a happy ass bLaCk kid just skipping along the streets of NYC with my new purchase.
Obviously my day didn’t end there. My mom and I like to take time after a long day and grab a drink or dinner, so we get to see each other during the week with our very different schedules and all. So we went to Pershing Square after work and had some dinner. This great/amazing woman goes ahead and whips out these Knicks tickets for last night’s game. Going off track a little bit I have to mention that I can tell she’s my mother because no 1 else is on that type of level with such randomness and especially on a Tuesday evening. Anyway we took a cab down to MSG and went to our seats. The game was pretty much packed because the Suns had the best record in the league as of last night. Let me tell you, this game was amazing. I’m not really a hardcore fan of any sports team but in bball I know the Knicks so of course I rooted for them. This team just kicked ass and it was so entertaining and so fun.
It’s things like this that make me appreciate my life and the people in it soooooo much and I really have the greatest time, and that is why I only surround myself with people who can keep my mood in the green. Haha just a regular Tuesday night of my liiiiiife, it would be hard to find a 12th person that I could hang with hahaha but I’m set with my people. Anyways enjoy your Wednesday all readers…I gotta go play with my Mac Book!!!! K BYEEEEEEEEEE

And guess when I heard that, when I was back home

4 days of eating drinking and living liiiiiife. My Thanksgiving weekend was freakin great; I had entirely too much fun lol. I spent a lot of time with old friends from Secaucus “hometown” peoples. Things really haven’t changed much since my departure but I think it’s for the best with the comfort zone of being home for a brotha like me. Things got kind of awkward when folks were asking for my phone number and if I changed it and all but I said “it’s hard to do your thing when everyone is surrounding” just meaning that I don’t need to be bombarded with random texts and calls that can be distracting from my work. It’s not being offensive at all, but there are just some people I don’t feel like talking to haha.
The only thing I hate about the long binge drinking weekend is the impact it does on the body once reality hits again. For some reason my hangovers wont kick in until I actually need to do something productive. There is a positive outcome from the consecutive nights of partying…I get to sleep! And that doesn’t happen on a regular night with prescribed medicines. Now I’m not the kind of person who will purposely destroy my liver in order to rest, so what do I do? I read and write and try to learn something new on my sleepless nights.
Real quick, I wanna talk about my Sunday afternoon. I headed down to the East Village in order to get some lunch at one of my favorite cafes (7A) which was lovely lol. After the meal I wanted to find a hat that I could purchase to cover my bald head. I walked for approximately 2-3 miles in a frantic search. I stopped in over 10 stores and found nothing I liked. I’m not the fashion expert so I needed to make a few phone calls for some help, so next time I go shopping I’ll have an expert rollin with me haha. Well well, it’s time for my bLaCkA$$ to get back on the grind of working on these projects. It’s My LIIIIIIIIIFE of having fun & working hard and I don’t accept anything less. I’ll be blogging about something random tomorrow so stay tuned…K BYEEEEEEEEEE
